4. Please pecify if you want the article sent out for anonymous peer review (SRR), or have the article discussed in the open BLOG at this stage, or both.
5. You may use Microsoft Word or LaTex, or simply a long text article in the email body for shorter ones.
6. BRM draft articles will usually appear as a link on the BLOG within a couple of days for user comments. SRR peer review drafts will appear likewise if the author so requests. Thanks!
The article by B.Raman, documenting Musharraf's Mentorship of Osama Bin Laden, was published on July 1, 1999, well before Musharraf did his coup (Sep-Oct. 99) and long before the 9/11 attacks which woke up the US. The East African embassy attacks and the USS Cole attacks had occurred before then, and the US had correctly recognized that the terrorist camps were inside Pakistan at the time.
There is at least one known case of two Pakistanis involved in a suicide attack within Israel. It happened on 30 April 2003 at Tel Aviv in a music club. They were British citizens of Pakistani descent. Also, LeT footsoldiers have been captured fighting in Iraq though there is no known instance of being involved in suicide bombing.
I also think that in the section of 'Pakistan Army's Non-state Actors', mention must be made of Al Badr group that along with the PA, indulged in ruthless murder of civilians in East Pakistan. It was later used effectively in Kashmir as well by the PA. The Islami-Jamiaat-e-Tulaba (Student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami) played a similar role in both East Pakistan and Kashmir under the PA once again.

I never knew that Osama was used by Musharraf in PoK. How many people are aware of this fact!
